フェアリーペンギン（コガタペンギン）がいる水族館は少なく、北海道内ではこの「AOAO SAPPORO」のみです。
There are few aquariums that display fairy penguins (little penguins), and AOAO SAPPORO is the only one in Hokkaido that does so.

世界初のシステムを導入している施設。六角形のブロックで陸場が成形されており、ブロックを動かして陸場の形状を変化させることができます。
実際に見た感想ですが、ジャンプするイワトビペンギンを高確率で見れると思います。
イワトビペンギンがジャンプして移動するように考えられて陸場のブロックを絶妙に配置しているように感じました。
This is a facility that has introduced a world-first system. The land is made up of hexagonal blocks, and you can change the shape of the land by moving the blocks.
My impression after seeing it for myself is that there's a high chance of seeing rockhopper penguins jumping.
It felt like the blocks on the land were exquisitely positioned to allow rockhopper penguins to move by jumping.

イワトビペンギンの水槽は横からも鑑賞することができます。
ちょうど目線の高さで、泳ぐイワトビペンギンを見れます。
You can also view the rockhopper penguin tank from the side.
You can watch the rockhopper penguins swimming at eye level.

クラゲの水槽などがあります。
水槽の前には小さなテーブルがあり、館内の売店で買った飲食物を持ってきて食べながらのんびり鑑賞することができます。

There is a small table in front of the tank where you can bring food and drinks purchased from the shop inside the museum and eat them while relaxing and enjoying the exhibits.

大きなスクリーンにCGが映し出されており、幻想的な空間になっています。
CG is projected onto a large screen, creating a fantastical space.
